NTS teams at Newcastle, Northallerton, Catterick, Sheffield and Bristol held a #HelloYellow day on Monday 10 October in support of World Mental Health Day and to launch a year of fundraising for YoungMinds, the mental health charity for children and young people.
“We’ve chosen YoungMinds as National Timber Systems’ first charity partner,” said Julian Elsbury, NTS design manager.
“Several of us have first-hand experience of the challenges that young people face, and we wanted to raise awareness and funds so that YoungMinds can continue to provide important support for anybody who needs help.
“Fundraising as a team in this way allows us to help others and helps bring people together.”

For the day all NTS colleagues were encouraged to wear something yellow to show their support. Together they have already raised over £1000, and in addition NTS had pledged to match the first £500. Fundraising challenge events are planned over the next 12 months to reach the year’s £5,000 target via JustGiving.
Julian added: “We are determined to reach and surpass our target as we can see how much support YoungMinds can provide through the money that we raise. The JustGiving page is open to everyone so if you feel you can help us that would be fantastic.”
