National Timber Systems (NTS), part of National Timber Group, has added metal web joists to its range of engineered wood products.
Product manager Richard Pashley joined NTS recently to head up metal web joist design and sales. He has 20 years’ experience in engineered wood products, as well as being committed to maintaining high levels of quality and customer service.
“Metal web joists are a popular choice for contractors and self-builders for floors and roofs,” said Richard.
“We are finding increased interest from house builders due to changes in building regulations and the Future Homes Standard. The joists are ideal for accommodating services between floors including mechanical ventilation with heat recovery systems.”
Metal web joists combine the lightness of timber with the strength of metal web, which makes them strong and easier to handle. They can span greater distances than I-joists giving architects greater design flexibility for housing and commercial developments.
NTS uses the latest software to provide full technical support to design and fabricate metal web joists of all complexities, and for all sizes of project, to meet the customer’s exact requirements.
Product packages including metal web joists, floor cassettes and trusses are also available from NTS.
NTS is a member of the Trussed Rafter Association and is one of the companies actively involved in the development of TRA’s Designer Development Programme for Metal Web Joists.
